Mitosis and Astronomy today ...

Mitosis - somatic cell division was on the burner today for AP Biology ... Stages of interphase, stages of mitosis, mitosis checkpoints and what happens in cancerous cells.  Also, we finished up Lab 5 and handed it in.  Tomorrow, we will review for our test which will be on Thursday and start our unit on genetics.

In Selected Topics, we continued our study of weather, practiced on ACT science questions and finished up our modeling lab of the solar system which we will do outside tomorrow.   We used a softball to model the sun then modeled the planets to size ... we used the website below for calculations ...

We had softball practice late today from 5-7 ... lifting, hitting and some throwing.  Tomorrow we are going outside to workout since it is suppose to be warm.
