Super Structure Contest ... 207 pounds!

We had softball conditioning after school today ... free weight station work and our wall ball (Allen County Handball) tournament began.

Genetics - We did a spectrophotometer lab today ... since we have only two specs it took some time.  We are going to analyze our results tomorrow class and work on Chapter 20 discussion questions.

Introduction to Computer Science - Exit projects are coming along really well ... several students have animated objects as part of their projects.  All projects are in Microsoft Visual BASIC.

Today in Selected Topics in Science we tested our super structures build of popsicle sticks ... 8" tall structures weighing only 34 grams.  Our winners ... Ben White, Tyler Bullington and John T Williams built a structure that held 207 pounds ... students learned about laminations, load bearing members and other physics/building principles.  We will finish this lab tomorrow and work on some ACT practice questions.
