At school today ...
In Genetics we finished our Properties of Water Lab. We also checked our LaMotte Kits for our first AP Lab ... Dissolved Oxygen and Primary Productivity Lab. Replaced reagents in some of the kits and ran a water sample to get use to the procedure. We are back to the book tomorrow ... Chapter 15 questions and a reading assignment.
In Selected Topics we finished our lab and will head back to our study of evolution and populations genetics tomorrow. Also starting our study of birds and taxonomy.
We checked our first four problems in Visual BASIC today. Students are doing a lot better designing and programming the graphical user interface. Tomorrow is Problem Six and we will begin to develop our Exit Projects tomorrow.
No softball practice today so got home early. We will lift tomorrow after school. This evening, sawed out enough wood for twenty or so shims for my hives. About 2.5 inches tall ... high enough to feed the bees using a zip-lock bag and/or treat for mites. I will try and get them put together this week and painted.
Rained all day and a slight chance of snow tonight so Sue Neal is starting to hope for a snow day. We got over two inches of rain.
