In AP Biology today, our class discussion was on photosynthesis in preparation for our AP Lab # 4 - Photosynthesis. Highlights included light reactions, light-independent reactions (Calvin cycle), chemiosmosis, photosynthetic pigments / visible light spectrum, C4 photosynthesis, CAM photosynthesis and photorespiration. Some serious biology! Tomorrow will be our discussion on both aerobic and anaerobic respiration ... also, how to build a still - a science issue!
In Selected Topics, we ended the Great Plant Growing Contest, a genetics review and the start our studying or respiration.
Hitting after school ... tee work, bounce tennis drill, live pitching and machine. Our next practice will be on Monday evening ... players will be taking the weekend off ... enjoy!
