Snow, Collecting samples and goodbye to the Holland PO

School tomorrow ... hopefully our AP Bio students are ready to go!  We will have homeroom in first block to pick up schedules.

It snowed today off and on ... we had a lot of birds at our birdfeeders ... mostly goldfinches, juncos, tufted titmouse(s), cardinals and mourning doves up close to the house.  I always throw down some seed on the sidewalk when feeding and the goldfinches gather there ... sometimes 30+ at a time.

I collected planaria and moss (appears to be Spirogyra) from the spring and creek this afternoon for labs later this week.

This week the Holland post office will close.  It was started in 1881 ... everything changes and with just a few dozen boxes and limited hours, it was one of the first to go in the USPO overhaul.
