On Saturday, we had our first scrimmage games at the Beech Play Day in Tennessee. We beat Father Ryan HS 7-0 and lost to nationally ranked Soddy Daisy 3-2 in international tie-breaker. Both teams are from Tennessee. Soddy did not throw their #1 pitcher who has signed with the University of Kentucky ... they were the AAA (big school) state runner-up last year in TN. We had twice as many hits but could not put them together. However, we had a good start with several new people in the lineup. We drove Bus 56 (my favorite bus ... many trips to the keys as well as several other trips to Gulf Shores and South Carolina) ... it has 220000 miles now but is still a great bus to drive! Tomorrow, we have our restriction lab in AP ... be ready!

In Selected Topics, we will finish our electrical circuit lab in the Mac Lab ...
Today John and Claire were here and had spent the night ... we went to Harper's Catfish for lunch. Afterwards, I fed our bees ... we still have bees in 17 of our hives ... several of the hives are doing really well with tons of bees in this early spring.
Several flowers blooming ... Burl's Big Turnip Patch is in bloom and the bees were checking it out this morning. Maples are blooming and lots of small flowers ... below turnip in bloom with one of our bees and a small field violet ... maybe arrow-leaved violet.
